A look behind the scenes of the 2019 Tennessee Titans training camp

Preparation

The Tennessee Titans grounds crew works tirelessly throughout the offseason to make sure the fields are ready roll for training camp. When that group of men and women start painting those beautiful white lines, you know it is time for Titans Football.

We have arrived

The Boys are back and have reported to the Titans training facility

Players and Coaches spend an extensive amount of training camp talking with local and national media. There is a group of dedicated reporters that spend many hours of their time at the training facility reporting on the ins and outs of Tennessee Titans football. Titans coaches and players meet daily with them and they help give a voice to the exciting season ahead.

Run Test

It is the players responsibility to show up to camp in shape and ready to go. After reporting to the facility and checking in with coaches and staff, the strength and conditioning staff puts the team through a run test to make sure everyone is one hundred percent.

Weight ROom

Every morning of camp starts in the weight room. The day is well underway when players arrive to lift at 6:30am.

Sports Medicine

Throughout the day, the athletic trainers and doctors work to help prevent injury. Their attention to detail helps the Titans avoid preventable injuries both before and after practice. Using state of the art recovery and rehabilitation technology, hydrotherapy and support taping techniques, this part of the team makes sure that the players stay healthy and supported from every angle.

Warm up and Stretch

Before the pads start popping, the men make sure to take care of their bodies with stretching and a proper warm up. This is a part of training camp that becomes a routine for many of the athletes. Repetition and consistency helps them keep their bodies sharp and ready for the most physically demanding part of the day.

Trench WOrk

The boys up front battle it out every play with little or no notice. During camp the push each other literally and figuratively to get better heading into the season

Air combat

The Offense and Defensive skill positions work with each other daily to get better. One on one, 7 on 7 and team drills keep their skills sharp on both sides of the ball. Working against the best each side of the ball has to offer helps each person get better and prepare for the season ahead.

Fan experience

One of the best parts of camp is the opportunity fans have to interact with players. Rarely do fans get a chance to meet, talk to and get an autograph from their favorite Titans player or coach. After the fans watch and cheer on the Titans during practice, the players get a break from the grind of camp to talk to and relax with fans and everyone has a good time.
